U.S.C.G ADVISORIES:

<span-size:9.0pt;font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif;color:#000090">The US Coast Guard MSU Port Arthur’s Vessel Traffic Service held a Port Coordination Team conference call today at 1300 hours in order to address traffic concerns due to channel closures because of persistent fog in the area.

 <span-size:9.0pt;font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif;color:black">

<span-size:9.0pt;font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif;color:#000090">The National Weather Service reported that the pattern is similar to yesterday and overnight. There is some intermittent clearing, but overall visibility remains at 1 mile or less across the region. The Dense Fog Advisory has already been issued through noon Wednesday. Winds will begin to build tomorrow 10-14 knots, gusting to 20 knots, and this will begin to break up the fog, but dense fog is still expected overnight Wednesday. The strong Canadian cold front should push through about dusk on Thursday, clearing the fog and clear conditions should persist through the weekend. <span-size:9.0pt;font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif;color:black">

 <span-size:9.0pt;font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif;color:black">

<span-size:9.0pt;font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif;color:#000090">The Sabine Pilots advised nothing moved inbound or outbound again yesterday due to the dense fog. That makes no vessel movements since the bar closed early afternoon on Sunday Feb 3rd. The intention remains to first sail outbound ships in order to clear the port. At this time, there are 13 vessels awaiting outbound transit. On the bar, 27 vessels currently await inbound transit, and about half of those vessels are destined for berths that are now occupied. Of the ships awaiting departure, 7 of those are daylight-restricted. Various resources located throughout the area have reported very limited visibility. Once the fog breaks they are ready to go with 32 pilots on standby. The harbor tugs have all advised readiness as well.<span-size:9.0pt;font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif;color:black">

Port Arthur VTS<span-size:9.0pt;font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif;color:#000090"> advises that upriver on the Neches River there has been some clearing and tows are moving, but on the Sabine River near Port of Orange the fog has thickened and is inhibiting movements on the Intra-Coastal Waterway east of the Neches River Intersection. <span-size:9.0pt;font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif;color:black">
