WEATHER
Forecast Discussion
Partly cloudy skies today as we are looking for another warm afternoon in the upper 80s. Winds today will be from the south and southeast at 5-10 mph.
Tuesday morning a strong cold front will march across Southeast Texas. Thanks to very limited moisture we are only expecting a few scattered showers at best with the front. The cold front will bring in much cooler temperatures with highs only reaching the upper 70s for Tuesday afternoon.
Also behind the front, much drier air coupled with strong gusty north winds will create a high fire threat given that little moisture is currently present in the soil and vegetation.
A red flag warning will likely be posted for Tuesday and beyond. Also burn bans will likely be extended for all of SE Texas.
