Port Status Information

The following reflects the current status and restrictions
for waterways within the Port Arthur Captain of the Port Zone.

1. All waters are open for shallow draft tugs, towboats and
offshore service vessels (OSV) with drafts of sixteen feet
and less.

2. Port Condition Zulu remains in effect for deep draft traffic
on the Calcasieu Ship Channel and Sabine-Neches Waterway.

Vessels of moderate draft (less than 30 feet) with special circumstances
desiring an exemption to transit the deep draft channel may submit their
request through the local pilot organization. The Captain of the Port
will consider each request on a case by case basis.

Back To Normal.....

The remains of Edouard are now over central Texas and continue to move to
the west-northwest about 10 mph. High pressure will be building in the
upper levels late this week and this weekend with a return to August
weather expected. Therefore, temperatures will be warmer again with only
isolated showers and thunderstorms.

Triangle Forecast...

Today....Partly Cloudy with a 30 percent coverage of showers and
thunderstorms. Highs in the lower 90's. Heat index near 102 Winds
mostly south to southeast at 4-15 mph.

Tonight....Variable cloudiness. Lows in the middle 70's. Winds mostly
southerly at 3-15 mph. No rain expected.

Marine Forecast For Wednesday..

Winds.....S/SE 5-16 knots.
Seas.......Decreasing to 3-4 feet.
Bays.......Slightly choppy.
Water temp.....86.
Weather....Partly cloudy with a few showers.
