YELLOW/ELEVATED - MARSEC 1

PILOT/TRAFFIC ADVISORIES:

VESSEL TRAFFIC STARTED OUTBOUND AT 0600/25TH WITH THREE
DAYLIGHT VESSELS. FOUR DAYLIGHT VESSELS ARE SCHEDULED
FOR INBOUND TRANSIT 1000-1100/25TH.

MAY 12 & 13 FROM 0800-2200 THE SABINE/NECHES CHANNEL WILL BE
CLOSED AROUND THE PORT NECHES PARK AREA FOR THE ANNUAL THUNDER
ON THE NECHES BOAT RACES. DAYLIGHT TRAFFIC FOR BOTH DAYS WILL
BE OUTBOUND ONLY.

ON OR ABOUT MAY 15-17 THE SABINE/NECHES CHANNEL WILL BE
CLOSED 6-8 HRS TO ALLOW THE RIG "NEPTUNE" TO SAIL OUTBOUND.

Morning Strong Thunderstorms Possible.........

Thunderstorms are building this morning as upper Low pushes east. A weak
cool front will crawl into SE Texas as well by Thursday morning. Some of
the storms could be severe this morning with rain ending in the
afternoon. Drier air is expected for the area beginning Thursday.

Triangle Forecast.....

Today..Morning rain and thunderstorms. An 80% coverage. Some heavy and
possibly severe. Decreasing cloudiness this afternoon. Highs in the upper
70's. Winds S/SW 5-18 mph.

Tonight.....Most fair and cooler. Lows in the lower 60's. Winds northwest
4-16 mph. No rain expected.
